Well first of all I just made Captain rank so that makes me happy.

So a friend of mine and I decided to go out to a bar to celebrate our birthdays, his is 8 days after mine. It was a little late I know but we were both were busy and our work schedules didn't mix well until last night. Anyway we went to the bar and they had a live band which wasn't bad, and it was really busy. So we saw a few people we knew there and we mingled, but it has been a very long time since I have been to a bar or club because basically its just not that much fun. I mean in small doses from time to time it is pretty fun, so we were hanging out and I started thinking as my friend was talking to people. I realized that I hardly knew anyone in that bar and I was friends with none of them. Since I had gone to college I had lost touch with almost everyone and I have very few friends.

One part of me wants to go out more and make my friends again but another part just says screw it, worry about moving up and getting promotions at work. I have never had this problem before so I am completely new to this and really don't know exactly how to handle it. Oh well things work out in the end right?

Well today I get to go to my first Carolina Tar Heels basketball game at the Smith Center. I'm going to get there early so I can look around and see all the trophies and what not. This should be amazingly fun since I'm a huge fan and there undefeated and I might even get to be on tv for a split second if they scan the crowd or something. I think its going to be on ESPNU so check it out.

So the game was amazing and of course we won. The Smith Center is amazing and is designed well with Carolina blue everywhere. It was great to see all the players in person and see Roy Williams himself. We walked around before the game and saw the pictures of championship teams, tournament teams and trophies. When you look inside at the gym you see all the banners of NCAA championships, honored and retired jerseys and all the ACC champion years. So if you ever get the chance to see Carolina in person I highly suggest you go.
